A reservoir off Kern River, Lake Isabella is the perfect place to do water activities. Not only that, on Sunday, we will be able to raft down Kern River. This is a great trip for scouts to get requirements done and to have fun while school is going on. We will be camping by the river in Boulder Gulch Campground. We will be doing water sports on the river and rafting in Level 4, 5 rapids in the Upper Kern along with working on the whitewater rafting merit badge.

The link to online rafting waiver I sent before wasn't connected to our particular group so the rafting firm
would prefer you refill out whichever of the 2 waivers in this email applies to you so it will be easier for firm to
make sure all rafters signed waivers. If you are one of the 11 rafters who are 11 yrs old or younger or a parent
planning to accompany your child 11 yrs old or younger then fill out waiver at link to merit badge easy boat.
The other 30 rafters (scouts 12 or older or adults) should fill out waiver for class 4 boats.
The 30 rafters on class 4 will all need wetsuits which are $17.16 to rent and Wed I will call and rent
24 or so wetsuits as I suppose some of you like me have your own wetsuits you can bring. They can be spring suits
or full wetsuits but cannot just be short or long sleeve top only. If possible indicate on right of signup sheet if you
will be bringing your own wetsuit. If you dont do that you will be charged $17.16 for rental.
The 11 rafters on easy boat are not required to wear wetsuit as almost no chance easy raft would capsize but if you own wetsuit top you might want to bring.
We are not sure yet exactly which people will be on easy and hard boats but we will try to get almost everyone 12 yrs old or above on hard boats but some 12 yrs olds might end up on easy boats.
Please contact Troy right away if what is on signup sheet for you is not accurate whether you want to add or drop so we can call firm and add more seats if needed.
