Sherwin Creek

Sherwin Creek campground is east of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and is at 7,600 feet in elevation. Surrounding the campground are Jeffrey pine trees, and bordering the forest is Sherwin Creek, lined with Aspen trees. Many different types of wildlife live in this location, such as black bears, mountain lions, and mule deer. Visitors may be interested in day trips to Yosemite National Park, Mono Basin, and Devils Postpile National Monument for sightseeing.

      • Driving to the Camp site

    • First stop: Manzanar (we encourage scouts to visit Manzanar. It's an unique experience and an important piece of our history. However, this is not a mandatory part of the camp. So, if you are skipping the visit to Manzanar, you can leave at your own time and meet up with the troop at the camp site.).

    • Fossil Falls

      • Merit Badge classes in the morning

      • Fun Hiking to the Rainbow Fall.

      • Cooking for dinner. Camp fire. Star gazing at night

    • 3rd Day

      • Merit Badge classes in the morning

      • Fun tour to the Geothermal plant.

      • Cooking for dinner. Camp fire. Star gazing at night

    • 4th Day

      • Break Camp at 8:00AM.

      • Snowboarding at Main Lodge,

      • Move to Mr. A's condo at Mammoth Lakes for movie night. High schoolers drive home after snowboarding.

    • 5th Day

      • Merit Badge classes in the morning.

      • Drive home.
