Camporee is CANCELLED because of the spread of COVID-19.
Officials at the California Department of Public Health announced new recommendations to curtail the spread of COVID-19: large gatherings should be postponed or cancelled across the state until at least the end of March.
BSA Rancho San Joaquin Camporee is coming up. The scouts and adult leaders would have fun with other units, compete and work as a team. Patrols would compete in Fire Starting, First Aid Relay, Kim's Game, Knot Relay, Shelter Building, Map and Compass, Scout Knowledge, Plutonium Transport. Other activities like shotgun shooting and Archery will also be available.
**All scouts need to have the PARENT'S PERMISSION FORM printed and signed ( TWO copies, one copy for check in, the other to be kept with a scout at all time).
No vehicle parking in the camp. Unhitch trailer and park vehicle in the lot.
Only 2 vehicles /troop allowed at a time to load/unload. When one vehicle comes out and hands the placard at the checkpoint, next vehicle will be allowed to go in.
No vehicle allowed from 9:00 pm on Friday night until Sunday afternoon.
*** Scouts' behaviors should be in accordance with Scout Oath and Scout Laws. Horseplay, physical violence, harassment, initiation rites, bullying, theft, verbal insults, ..., are prohibited. It's of the utmost importance that scouts follow instructions, especially during outings. Otherwise scout, not only put himself in danger, he also endangers those around him. Guardians are responsible for their scouts' manners.
