Due to extra challenges caused by the road closures, we decided to change plans. NO hike in San Jacinto Wilderness.
Instead we are turning it into a day hike and are doing the 3 Ts (Thunder, Telegraph and Timber Peaks) which is about 14 miles and based on weather conditions at the top we can decide if we want to turn it into a 20 mile hike by taking on Ontario or Cucamonga Peaks as well.
Most important for this trip:
1. Weather can be on the cooler side, bring extra layers and insulated jacket.
2. No water on the way, have enough water for lunch and full day of hiking .
3. No food on top, bring your lunch and trail food.
4. Drivers need adventure passes!
