Hiking and swimming, two things that we here at troop 622 love to do, and our bridge to nowhere hike is a perfect place to combine them. Located in the San Gabriel Mountains, we will drive up and start hiking. But, along the hike, we will cross the river many times, so wear old sneakers or water shoes. After hiking 5 miles in, we are able to swim in the river right beneath the bridge. This is a pretty easy hike, and is a day trip, so bring family and friends if you wish. After swimming and eating lunch, we will hike out another 5 miles for a total of 10 miles. Light clothing is recommended and lunch and water have to be brought by the scout. Also include the 10 essentials. For drivers, a adventure pass is required. To Sign Up
We will make a decision by Wednesday whether or not there are enough people to proceed with the backpack, so please sign up as soon as possible.

*** Scouts' behaviors should be in accordance with Scout Oath and Scout Laws. Horseplay, physical violence, harassment, initiation rites, bullying, theft, verbal insults, ..., are prohibited. It's of the utmost importance that scouts follow instructions, especially during outings. Otherwise scout, not only put himself in danger, he also endangers those around him.
