As preparation for the much anticipated Sierras backpacking trip, Deep Creek is one of the many training hikes the troop embarks on. This backpacking trip will be a 2 day 15 miles hike along the Pacific Crest Trail in the canyon of Deep Creek. Because the elevation remains low and not too strenuous this trip is suited for all ages. Along the way there are some famous swimming holes such as the Aztec, Peace, Gilligans, Center Cut, Luna and Warm Springs. On the 1st day, we will be hiking several miles down the river and stopping at the swimming holes then hiking some more to the camp site. On the 2nd day we will continue and finish the hike.To Sign Up
