BSA Rancho San Joaquin Camporee is coming up. The scouts and adult leaders would have fun with other units, compete and work as a team. Patrols would compete in Fire Starting, First Aid Relay, Kim's Game, Knot Relay, Shelter Building, Map and Compass, Scout Knowledge, Plutonium Transport. Other activities like shotgun shooting and Archery will also be available.
Departure: 3:30PM, Friday, Mar. 24, 2017 from South Lake middle school
Return: Noon, Sunday, Mar. 26, 2017
Trip Information: Camporee
**All scouts need to have the PARENT'S PERMISSION FORM printed and signed (P.32~P.34, TWO copies, one copy for check in, the other to be kept with scout at all time).
**PARKING: Please download and fill the Parking Permint Form (P.35). the council is very strict about parking.
No vehicle parking in the camp. Unhitch trailer and park vehicle in the lot.
Only 2 vehicles /troop allowed at a time to load/unload. When one vehicle comes out and hands the placard at checkpoint, next vehicle will be allowed to go in.
No vehicle allowed from 9:00 pm on Friday night till Sunday afternoon.
*** Scouts' behaviors should be in accordance with Scout Oath and Scout Laws. Horseplay, physical violence, harassment, initiation rites, bullying, theft, verbal insults, ..., are prohibited. It's of the utmost importance that scouts follow instructions especially during outings. Otherwise scout, not only put himself in danger, he also endangers those around him. Guardians are responsible for their scouts' manners.
For the Friday dinner, please refer to the Pizza Ordering Session of Campout Food Buying Guide:
A large size (Costco) pizza is usually cut into 12 slices.
A scout or an adult leader would have 3 slices in average.
Cheese pizza is acceptable for vegetarians.
Please don't over buy the pizza since the leftover pizza would lower the food consumption of the following meals.
