Being part of Colorado Desert, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in the contiguous United States. It has over 600,000 acres. There are 500 miles of dirt roads, 12 wilderness areas and 110 miles of hiking trails in this state park. The park is named after Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza and borrego, the Spanish name of bighorn sheep.Departure: 7:00 PM, Friday, Nov. 11, 2017 from Heritage Park
