I spent an unforgettable day yesterday. I always wanted to participate in one-day hiking from the Boyscout. However, I thought my responsibility as a teacher at the church and the fact that I have never done over 10 mile hiking (I only walked an average of 1 mile as tracking) so I was afraid that I would become a burden to the group hiking for 10 miles not having the experience. However, this time, I asked another teacher to teach my class, set my mind, and follow other fathers' hard work and children's experiences together. I have learned three things from this hiking. First, I learned the importance of Buddy System. Some people hike easy and some people hike hard. Also, I learned with my body how important the buddy is at the unexpected situation. Second, I learned how to response correctly and escort children to the unexpected and dangerous situation without panicking. Last, I learned the importance of preparing the right tools and gears for outdoor activity especially hiking. I thank Steve's wit for fixing Michael's broken shoes with tape and strong rope.
I want to thank my buddies for encouraging me, giving me tips, helping me with my bag when we were hiking steep and dangerous hills and roads, when I was out of breath and felt dying, when I wanted to give up.
I want to thank all the fathers and volunteers for encouraging children, bearing as proud adults. My children say it is a previlege to be troop622 family, and they positively think that this troop will help them grow as a fine adult who serve in the society. I want to give an applause to Mr. A, the Scout Master, all the volunteer parents, and senior scouts for being good foundation, and to all the scout members for being a dedicated followers .
