I went on a trip to Lake Powell in Utah. We saw many views and many wonderful things on my trip some of which not mentioned are Rainbow Bridge and Angels landing. Rainbow Bridge can be seen below. Here are just some of the experiences.
When we were at Lake Powell we docked in a small cove. We moved on pretty soon and we went for the first competition. Which was where we threw volleyballs into a tube. Another one we had was relay swimming and our team won again. We boated a little further and worked on merit badges until people started working on the fishing merit badge. People needed to catch a fish for the merit badge and we caught a lot. I think I caught one of the largest. Which can be seen below.
The one I caught was a catfish it was the size of a paddle. We cooked it and ate it, The fish tasted delicious. Then we had another competition, tubing. I was on the tube so I went on it and held on as hard as I could. I didn’t fall off until the tube flipped upside down and I fell off. Then it was the older scouts turn even though My team stayed on longer we lost be cause he broke the tube. This unfortunate incident led to our team tying although we would have won if we won the competition.
After the houseboat we went to the Grand Canyon. The part we went to was the North Rim. We went to the part and saw the magnificent view. We went up and climbed to the Bright Angel Point. Then we went back home. We stopped at In and Out to eat dinner. It was extremely late by the time we got back so we all had a good amount of rest. This allowed us to be happy by countless more adventures to come.
Overall it was a good trip. I enjoyed it and it was exciting. It was an overall good experience.
